BIOGRAPHY
Music Educator & Performer
Gordon is a dedicated music educator and performer with over 20 years of experience in both teaching and performance. Recently completing a Master of Education in Secondary Education at Grand Canyon University, Gordon also holds a Master of Music in Woodwind Performance and a Bachelor of Science in Music Instruction, both from Southern Oregon University.
Gordon serves as the Director of Bands at White Mountain and Eagle Point Middle Schools and has taught general music at Washington Elementary in Medford. He has also instructed and arranged for the Jazz Ensemble at Rogue Community College from 2012 to 2019. In addition, Gordon provides private saxophone lessons to students of all ages.
As a performer, Gordon has played in prominent productions such as the Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s Hairspray and The Wiz, as well as The Temptations and The Four Tops tribute performances. He is also an active member of the Danielle Kelly Soul Project and Salsa Brava, among other musical projects. Gordon has appeared with Bobby Shew, Craig Chaquico, Frank Emilio Flynn, Gary Foster, Jack Johnson, Jeff Pevar, Jim Belushi, Kirby Shaw, Larry Harlow, Lorna Luft, Maceo Parker, Ronnie Cuber, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Wayne Bergeron and others.
With a strong background in arranging and composing for various ensembles, Gordon is proficient in industry-standard software such as Sibelius, ProTools, and Studio One. His musical education and extensive performance experience make him a valuable asset to both his students and musical collaborators.
